The rebound slide spring (also called the rebound spring or trigger return spring) drives the rebound slide forward after each trigger pull, returning the trigger to its forward rest position and resetting the action for the next shot. It is one of the most commonly replaced revolver springs and is essential for reliable double-action and single-action trigger function. A weak or broken rebound spring will cause the trigger to fail to return to battery. This is a genuine Smith & Wesson factory part — direct OEM replacement, ready to install.
This spring is a universal fit across all K, L, and N Frame centerfire and rimfire models. It is one of the few internal parts that interchanges between rimfire and centerfire K Frame revolvers.
