The S&W K-Frame 17-3 target hammer I ordered arrived in a reasonable amount of time and was in great shape. Unfortunately, it was not suitable for the purpose I ordered it which was to replace one of the new MIM hammers on a S&W rimfire revolver. There are considerable differences between the two. A very persistence person with the right tools can, in fact, get it to work but it's SO not work the time and effort. Even then, the person would need to have the modified hammer refinished (color case hardened) to restore it to factory appearance, harden the metal, and protect it from rusting. There are better options out there. But for the proper application (a pre-97 S&W rimfire revolver) the hammer I purchased was in like new condition and would have worked splendidly.

I got my first 745 at 14 for pin shooting and always loved it. I was accustomed to the mag release size so needed to see if one would fit the 952 i just got. Fit perfect. same thread etc. Just need to swap grips and it has the same feel as the 745!!!

It was very nice part, well made. Things is though, I need the little pin that the trigger contacts to release the cylinder stop. I don't know what it's called, but I think it revolves in the hole in the side of the cylinder. Stop . Got any?
