Smith & Wesson K Frame Model 10 Barrel 4" Non-Pinned Blue Steel .38 Special - 1021C
Smith & Wesson K Frame Model 10 Barrel – 4", Non-Pinned, Blue Steel, .38 Special
This factory original Smith & Wesson K Frame Barrel is a 4-inch non-pinned blue steel barrel for the Model 10-10 revolver chambered in .38 Special. The non-pinned design is the later-production style, replacing the older pinned barrel configuration. ⚠️ Barrels are caliber-specific and frame-specific. This is a non-pinned barrel — not compatible with older pinned-barrel K Frame revolvers. Verify your exact model and production variant before ordering. Professional gunsmith installation with headspace verification is required.
Pinned vs. Non-Pinned Barrels
Early S&W K Frame revolvers used a barrel pin through the frame to secure the barrel. Later production (post-1982) switched to a non-pinned design with thread-only retention. These two styles are not interchangeable. Check your revolver's production date and barrel configuration before ordering.
Installation Note
Barrel replacement requires proper barrel tooling, timing verification, and headspace gauging. Professional gunsmith installation is required. Improper installation can result in dangerous cylinder gap issues or barrel misalignment.
