This listing is for one (1) factory new Smith & Wesson OEM internal lock cam, Part #293380000, for J, K, L, N, and X Frame revolvers equipped with the internal hammer lock system.
The lock cam is the internal rotating cam that interfaces with the locking key (accessed through the side plate or frame) to engage and disengage the internal hammer lock. When the locking key is turned, the cam rotates to actuate the lock arm, which blocks the hammer from falling and secures the firearm against unauthorized use. A damaged or missing lock cam will prevent the internal lock from functioning correctly. This is a genuine Smith & Wesson factory part manufactured to original specifications.
Important: This part only applies to Smith & Wesson revolvers equipped with the internal hammer lock system (introduced approximately 2001 on most models). Pre-2001 revolvers do not have an internal lock and do not use this part. Verify your revolver has the internal lock (small keyway visible on the left side of the frame above the cylinder release) before ordering.
