Smith & Wesson J Frame Rear Sight Windage Screw — Factory New OEM Part #071620000

This listing is for one (1) factory new Smith & Wesson OEM rear sight windage screw, Part #071620000, for J Frame revolvers equipped with adjustable rear sights.

The windage screw is the horizontal adjustment screw that moves the rear sight blade left or right to correct point of impact for windage. Turning the screw shifts the rear sight laterally, moving the point of impact in the corresponding direction. A damaged or missing windage screw prevents lateral sight adjustment and cannot be substituted with a generic screw due to its precision thread pitch and sight-body fit. This is a genuine Smith & Wesson factory part manufactured to original specifications.

Important: This part only fits J Frame models with adjustable rear sights. Fixed-sight J Frame models (e.g., Model 36, 36-1, 60 fixed sight variants, 642, 638) do not have a windage screw and cannot use this part.
