How to Identify Your Model Number

Swing out the cylinder and check behind the yoke on the frame for the model number and dash number. Model numbers were introduced in 1957–58. If no model number is present, your revolver may pre-date 1957. In that case, contact us with your serial number for assistance.

Part Details

The cylinder yoke (also called the crane) is the hinged arm that holds the cylinder and allows it to swing out of the frame for loading and unloading. This is a Smith & Wesson factory OEM replacement part manufactured to original specifications and tolerances.

Installation

Gunsmith installation recommended. Disassembly and reassembly of the revolver is required to replace this part. Some fitting by a qualified gunsmith may be necessary.
