Factory Smith & Wesson used blued 2" barrel for the J Frame Pre-37 Airweight Chief's Special revolver chambered in .38 Special. The Pre-37 is the pre-model-number designation for the J Frame Airweight Centennial produced before S&W adopted model numbers in 1957–58. Features an aluminum alloy frame with blued barrel and cylinder. A collectible vintage variant. Gunsmith installation recommended.
