Genuine Smith & Wesson OEM cylinder stop and spring pulled from a Z Frame Governor revolver. The cylinder stop (also called the cylinder latch or bolt) is the small spring-loaded component that rises from the frame to lock the cylinder in alignment with the barrel at each chamber position. The spring drives the cylinder stop upward into the cylinder notches. A worn, broken, or weak cylinder stop or spring can cause the cylinder to rotate out of alignment, resulting in dangerous misfire conditions or failure to lock up. This surplus set has been inspected and is in good working condition.
