Smith & Wesson K Frame Model K22 4-Screw Hand Old Style .22 LR — Used OEM Part 17112C
Smith & Wesson K Frame Model K22 4-Screw Hand Old Style .22 LR — Used OEM Part
Genuine Smith & Wesson OEM hand for the K Frame Model K22 (4-Screw) revolver chambered in .22 LR rimfire. The K22 is a pre-model designation — S&W began stamping model numbers inside the frame in 1957–58, so the K22 predates the numbered Model 17. The 4-screw variant refers to the four sideplate screws used on earlier production revolvers before S&W transitioned to the 3-screw configuration. The hand (also called the pawl) is the part that engages the ratchet on the cylinder and rotates the cylinder one chamber position with each trigger pull or hammer cock. A worn, bent, or broken hand causes the cylinder to fail to rotate fully, resulting in misalignment between the chamber and barrel — a safety-critical condition. This old style used OEM hand is inspected and functional, manufactured to original S&W specifications and tolerances.
Condition: Used — inspected and functional. Some fitting by a qualified gunsmith may be necessary.

Finding Your Model
Swing out the cylinder and look behind the yoke on the frame. If no model number is stamped, your revolver predates 1957–58 and is a pre-model variant. Count the sideplate screws to confirm the 4-screw configuration. Contact us with your serial number if you need help identifying the correct part.
