Smith & Wesson N Frame Model 28-2 Trigger .265" Wide with Hand – Case Colored, Old Style

Upgrade or restore your Model 28-2 Highway Patrolman with this factory-original .265" wide trigger with hand — finished in classic case coloring. Wider than the standard trigger, the .265" width provides a broader contact surface for a more comfortable and controlled double-action pull. The case-colored finish adds a period-correct aesthetic that complements the original blued finish of the Model 28. Includes the hand (cylinder rotating pawl), making this a complete trigger assembly replacement.

Factory Replacement Quality

Genuine Smith & Wesson factory part manufactured to the exact specifications and tolerances of the original — same dimensions, same hand engagement geometry, same reliable trigger and cylinder timing. No aftermarket substitutes.

About the Hand

The hand (also called the pawl) is the component that rotates the cylinder one chamber with each trigger pull. Including it with the trigger ensures proper timing between the two parts — critical for safe and reliable function. Trigger and hand fitting should always be performed by a qualified gunsmith.

Finding Your Model Number

Swing out the cylinder and check behind the yoke on the frame. Model numbers have been stamped there since 1957–58. If your revolver has no model number, it predates that era — contact us with the serial number and we'll help identify the correct part.
