The front sight pin is the small cross-pin that retains the front sight blade in the sight ramp base on the barrel. Classic-era S&W revolvers (pre-1982) used a pinned front sight construction where the sight blade was secured with a transverse pin through the ramp. The pin must match the exact diameter (.068") and length (.635") for a proper press fit; generic pins will not work. Blue steel finish matches the original production specification.
