Part #10184A1 is a variant of the classic K Frame .265" wide service trigger (see also Part #10184A). The “A1” suffix in S&W’s older part numbering convention denotes a minor engineering revision of the same base trigger — same .265" width and case colored finish, with a subtle dimensional or production-era variation. The .265" wide trigger is the standard-width service trigger for S&W K Frame revolvers. This is a pre-MIM (pre-1997) forged and machined trigger with case colored finish — a heat-treating process that produces the distinctive mottled brown/blue/straw color pattern on classic-era S&W parts.
