This listing is for one used Smith & Wesson J Frame Model 640 Centennial hammer and trigger assembly for dash 3 and later variants. These are MIM (Metal Injection Molded) parts in the new style configuration, introduced with the 640-3. This is an OEM factory assembly in used condition, removed from a functioning firearm.
⚠️ Compatibility note: This hammer and trigger assembly fits Model 640-3 and later dash numbers only. It is not compatible with earlier 640, 640-1, or 640-2 variants which use different (non-MIM) parts. The Model 640 Centennial features a concealed (internal) hammer for snag-free carry.
⚠️ Professional installation recommended. Disassembly and reassembly of the firearm is required to replace this part. We recommend having a qualified gunsmith perform this work.
