This genuine OEM Smith & Wesson hammer with a .240" wide spur is designed for the J Frame Model 36 Chief’s Special revolver. The wider spur provides a broader surface for thumb cocking in single-action operation, preferred by many shooters for improved control. This used part has been inspected and is in good working condition.
Note: An alternate revision of this hammer (part# 36110A) is also available in our store. Professional gunsmith installation recommended. Disassembly and reassembly of the fire control group is required. This is a centerfire hammer — not compatible with rimfire J Frame models.
