Function

The bolt (cylinder stop) is the component that locks the cylinder in alignment with the barrel at the moment of firing. Proper bolt function is essential for accurate and safe revolver operation. A worn or damaged bolt can cause cylinder timing issues and must be replaced by a qualified gunsmith.
