The hand is the internal component that rotates the cylinder one position each time the hammer is cocked — a worn, bent, or damaged hand causes cylinder timing issues, failure to rotate, or misalignment with the barrel. Removed from a functioning Model 15-3 revolver and inspected prior to sale.
