The pinned barrel was used on S&W revolvers prior to the Model 10-6 (approximately 1977). The barrel pin locks the barrel to the frame for precise alignment and consistent accuracy. This used OEM 4" pinned barrel is a direct factory replacement for pre-dash and early dash Model 10 revolvers requiring a period-correct restoration.

Installation Note: Barrel installation requires proper headspacing and timing verification. Installation by a qualified gunsmith is strongly recommended.

How to Identify Your S&W Model Number

Swing out the cylinder and check behind the yoke on the frame. Model numbers were introduced in 1957–58. If no model number is present, your revolver may pre-date that era — contact us with your serial number and we can help identify the correct part.
