Function & Compatibility

This side plate is specifically designed for Smith & Wesson J Frame Model 63 revolvers. The side plate covers the internal lock work on the left side of the frame and must be properly fitted and seated to ensure correct action function. Includes the retaining screws. This is an old style part and is not compatible with newer Model 63 variants that feature the internal lock (Hillary Hole).

To determine your Smith & Wesson revolver model number, swing out the cylinder and check behind the yoke on the frame for the model number stamped into the metal. Model numbers began in 1957-58.
