Genuine factory new Smith & Wesson slide stop plunger spring. The slide stop plunger spring tensions the slide stop plunger, which holds the slide stop lever in position and allows it to engage the slide when the magazine is empty (slide lock open on last shot). A weak or broken slide stop plunger spring causes the slide to fail to lock back after the last round, or causes the slide stop to intermittently engage during firing (false slide lock). Direct OEM replacement.
