Genuine factory new Smith & Wesson magazine release for the Model 645 and Model 745 .45 ACP semi-automatic pistols. Despite their different trigger systems — the Model 645 is double-action (DA/SA) while the Model 745 is single-action only (SAO) competition pistol — both share the same magazine release button assembly. The magazine release retains the magazine in the grip and ejects it when the button is pressed. A worn or damaged magazine release causes unintentional magazine drop under recoil or handling, or failure to eject the magazine when the button is pressed.
