The slide stop lever engages the slide lock notch to hold the slide open after the last round is fired, and releases the slide when depressed manually. A worn or damaged slide stop lever causes failure to lock the slide open on the last shot, or difficulty releasing the slide. The U suffix in part number 6103U denotes used/surplus factory stock.
