This is a used original Smith & Wesson factory disconnector assembly for the Model 659 9mm semi-automatic pistol (2nd Generation, stainless steel). The disconnector is a critical fire control safety component that prevents the pistol from firing more than one round per trigger pull by resetting the sear after each shot. This stainless steel assembly is a direct OEM replacement for the Model 659.
