Factory Smith & Wesson used blued thumbpiece (cylinder release latch) for the K Frame Model 12 Airweight revolver chambered in .38 Special. The thumbpiece is the lever pushed forward to swing the cylinder out for loading and unloading. The Model 12 is the aluminum-framed Airweight variant of the K Frame .38 Special. Gunsmith installation recommended.
