Function

The frame lug (barrel underlug) is the metal projection beneath the barrel that houses and protects the ejector rod. It provides a channel for the ejector rod to travel when extracting cases, protects the rod from damage, and adds structural rigidity to the barrel assembly. Proper alignment with both the barrel and frame is critical for reliable ejector rod function.

About These Historic Revolvers

The S&W Victory Model was produced 1942–1945 for Allied military forces during WWII. The Pre-Model 10 refers to M&P revolvers produced before the model numbering system began in 1957.
