Genuine factory new Smith & Wesson non-fluted stainless steel cylinder for L Frame revolvers. The non-fluted cylinder retains the full cylinder wall thickness where standard cylinders are machined with flutes — resulting in a stronger, more rigid cylinder body that is preferred by many for sustained high-volume .357 Magnum shooting. Non-fluted cylinders were offered by S&W on Performance Center models and select special production runs. This is a direct OEM factory replacement for Models 686 and 681.
