Genuine Smith & Wesson New Old Stock (NOS) locking bolt for pre-model K Frame revolvers with 2" barrels and longer. The locking bolt is a cylindrical pin that passes through the frame at the front of the cylinder window and locks the barrel into the frame threads after timing. A missing or damaged locking bolt allows the barrel to back out of the frame under the torque and recoil of firing — a critical safety issue. Do not operate a K Frame revolver with a missing or damaged locking bolt.
The 2" and longer barrel specification corresponds to the locking bolt length of 0.6385". This dimension must match the barrel shank and frame hole; verify the correct bolt length for your specific barrel configuration before ordering.
New Old Stock (NOS): Factory new unused parts from original S&W production. Not current production, not used. NOS pre-model parts are increasingly scarce.

Installation
Locking bolt installation requires barrel removal and timing verification. Professional gunsmith installation required. After installation, verify barrel timing, cylinder gap (.004"–.006" typical), and that the locking bolt is fully seated and flush. Function test before live fire.
