Used cylinder stop and cylinder stop spring for the Smith & Wesson Model 65 K Frame revolver chambered in .357 Magnum. The Model 65 is the fixed-sight, stainless steel K Frame .357 Magnum — the stainless counterpart to the blued Model 13, popular with law enforcement. The cylinder stop (also called the bolt) is the spring-loaded latch that drops into the cylinder notches to lock the cylinder in precise alignment with the barrel during firing. A worn or broken cylinder stop causes cylinder timing failures, where the cylinder does not lock in the correct position, resulting in misalignment with the bore and a safety hazard. The cylinder stop spring provides the tension for the stop to engage the cylinder notches.
