Smith & Wesson J Frame Model 49 Bodyguard Stirrup, Spring & Plunger — Used OEM Part 3845
Smith & Wesson J Frame Model 49 Bodyguard Stirrup, Spring & Plunger — Used OEM Part
Genuine Smith & Wesson OEM hammer stirrup, spring, and plunger set for the J Frame Model 49 Bodyguard revolver. The hammer stirrup (also called the hammer strut) is the pivoting link that connects the trigger to the hammer in the double-action mechanism, transferring trigger pull force to cock and release the hammer. The spring and plunger provide the return tension that resets the stirrup after each shot. A worn, bent, or broken stirrup causes inconsistent trigger pull, failure to cock, or failure to fire in double-action mode. This used OEM set is inspected and functional, manufactured to original S&W specifications and tolerances.
Condition: Used — inspected and functional. Some fitting by a qualified gunsmith may be necessary.

Finding Your Model Number
Swing out the cylinder and look behind the yoke on the frame. Model numbers were added starting in 1957–58. If your revolver has no model number stamped, it may be a pre-model variant — verify compatibility before ordering.
