Smith & Wesson J Frame Extractor Rod Collar — Factory New OEM Part
Genuine factory new Smith & Wesson OEM extractor rod collar for J Frame revolvers. The extractor rod collar is the threaded collar that locks the extractor rod to the extractor star, securing the ejection assembly in the cylinder. A loose, damaged, or missing collar allows the extractor rod to unscrew during firing, causing the cylinder to bind and the revolver to become inoperable mid-use. This is a direct OEM replacement that restores proper extractor rod retention and reliable ejection function. Also commonly referred to as an ejector rod collar.

Swing out the cylinder and look behind the yoke on the frame. Model numbers were added starting in 1957–58. If your revolver has no model number stamped, it may be a pre-model variant — verify compatibility before ordering.
