These are pre-1957 revolvers produced before S&W began stamping model numbers on the frame — if your revolver has no model number behind the yoke, it is likely a pre-model variant. The I Frame was S&W's smallest revolver frame, discontinued in the later mid-20th century, making parts like this genuinely scarce and difficult to source. The thumb piece (cylinder release latch) pushes forward to release the cylinder for loading and unloading. Includes thumb piece and nut.
