This is a genuine factory Smith & Wesson 3.5" pinned barrel for the J Frame Model 43 (.22/.32 Kit Gun Airweight) revolver chambered in .22 Long Rifle. A used blue steel barrel in serviceable condition — a hard-to-find component for restoring or maintaining an original-configuration Model 43 Airweight.

Pinned barrel note: Smith & Wesson used pinned barrels on revolvers produced prior to approximately 1982. The barrel pin passes through the frame and barrel to secure the barrel in place. Pinned barrels are highly sought after by collectors and restorers seeking to maintain period-correct configuration. This barrel is the correct replacement for pre-1982 Model 43 Airweight revolvers.

This is a pinned barrel for pre-1982 production revolvers only — it is not compatible with post-1982 non-pinned frame configurations. The Model 43 Airweight uses an alloy (aluminum) frame. Always confirm your revolver's production date and barrel configuration before ordering. Model numbers are stamped on the frame behind the yoke when the cylinder is swung out.

Barrel replacement on a pinned S&W revolver requires removal of the barrel pin, proper barrel timing, and cylinder gap verification.
