Smith & Wesson .38 M&P Model 1905 3rd Change Thumb Piece & Nut – Used

Part Number: MP7A  |  Condition: Used (Factory Original)  |  Caliber: .38 Special

Genuine Smith & Wesson factory original thumb piece (cylinder release) and nut removed from a .38 M&P Hand Ejector Model 1905 3rd Change revolver. The thumb piece is the lever used to swing the cylinder open for loading and unloading — a worn or damaged thumb piece can prevent the cylinder from releasing properly. This is an old-style pre-model era part for early S&W swing-out cylinder revolvers produced before the model numbering system began in 1957–58.

Model Identification Note

Smith & Wesson began assigning model numbers in 1957–58. If your revolver predates this, it will have no model number stamped behind the yoke. In that case, the serial number can help identify the correct parts — contact us with your serial number and we will assist with identification.

Compatibility Note

This is an old-style part specific to the pre-model .38 M&P Hand Ejector series. It may not be compatible with later numbered K-frame models. If you are unsure of compatibility, contact us before ordering.

Professional gunsmith installation required. Old-style parts may require fitting.
