Important: This hammer is for centerfire models only. K Frame rimfire models (17, 18, 48, 617, 648) require a different hammer due to different firing pin configurations and are NOT compatible with this part.

How to determine your Smith & Wesson Revolver model number: Swing out the cylinder and check behind the yoke on the frame for the model number. Model numbers began in 1957-58. If there is no model number, your revolver may be older. Contact us with your serial number for assistance.
