Smith & Wesson SDVE End Cap Assembly. This endcap assembly has a polymer over steel construction, finished in black, and is an OEM original component from Smith & Wesson. The slide endcap assembly is designed for the both SD9 VE & SD40 VE models of pistols from Smith & Wesson chambered in either 9mm or .40 S&W respectively. The assembly installs on the rear end of the slide and retains the inner components up into the slide assembly such as the striker assembly.
