Smith & Wesson N Frame Revolver Extractor Rod 4" or Longer Barrel 05456B000

$36.00

Smith & Wesson N Frame Extractor Rod for revolvers with 4" or longer barrels. Precision-crafted from blue steel with left-hand threading for secure installation.

Compatible Models:

As long as your revolver is an N-Frame with a 4" or longer barrel and uses left-hand threads (standard on models produced after 1961), this rod is compatible with the following models:

Directly Listed Compatible Models

The manufacturer specifically lists these "dash" versions as confirmed fits:

  • Model 24 (.44 Special)

  • Model 25-2 & 25-5 (.45 ACP / .45 Colt)

  • Model 27-4 (.357 Magnum)

  • Model 28 (Highway Patrolman)

  • Model 29-3 (.44 Magnum)

  • Model 57-1 (.41 Magnum)

Other Compatible N-Frame Models

Because it fits the standard N-Frame profile, it will also function in these models (provided they have the 4" or longer barrel):

  • Model 58: All versions (as it is an N-frame .41 Magnum usually found with a 4" barrel).

  • Model 624 / 625 / 627 / 629 / 657: These are the stainless steel versions of the models listed above. While the finish is blue steel, the mechanical fit is identical.

  • Early "No-Dash" Models: Any N-frame made after 1961 that transitioned to left-hand threads.

⚠️ Critical Fitment Check

To be 100% certain before buying, check these two things:

  1. The Thread: Ensure your current rod unscrews by turning it clockwise (left-hand thread). If it unscrews counter-clockwise, you have an early "Right-Hand" model and this part will not work.

  2. The Length: This rod is 2.84" overall. It is designed specifically to clear the shroud of a 4" barrel. If you have a 2.5" or 3" "Snubbie," this rod will be too long to allow the cylinder to close.

  • Overall Length: 2.84"
  • Threaded Length: 0.56"
  • Diameter: 0.24"
  • Finish: Blue Steel
  • Thread: Left-Hand
  • Condition: New OEM

Part Number: 05456B000

Note: This part is also commonly referred to as an ejector rod.
